Faithful Graphic Uploads, Print Fidelity & Original Factory Files
A logo uploaded in the customizer should be the same file your factory opens later — not a broken preview, not a leftover default placeholder, and not a print job that fails on a complex fabric pattern.
This update keeps customer artwork intact from upload through quote, print files, and techpack, and tells you clearly when something still needs a fix.
Uploads that survive the session
Customers can now upload PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, AI, EPS, and PDF. The customizer shows a preview immediately, then stores a durable copy so a refresh does not lose the graphic.
- Zone and freeform together — products with graphic zones no longer hide freeform upload
- Zone replace works — replacing a zone graphic from the 3D toolbar is included in the quote, instead of leaving submit stuck on uploads pending
- Originals are kept — AI, EPS, and PDF stay as the production file; a sanitized SVG is used on the canvas and in print
- Safer uploads — files are checked by type, and oversized or rapid uploads are rejected with a clear retry
If a design has graphics but the canvas could not be captured, submit now stops with an explanation instead of creating a quote that cannot print.
Print files that match the customizer
Print generation now keeps more of what the customer actually designed:
- Fabric patterns stay under the capture limit, so patterned quotes are less likely to lose their print-ready artwork
- Background-removed graphics print without the cut-out background coming back
- Unused default logos are stripped, so leftover admin placeholders do not appear on the garment
- Complex pattern clips (including Scratch + Pattern 009) no longer fail the fidelity gate
- Narrow graded panels survive nesting instead of being dropped
- Large Ready-Print PDFs get more time as placement count grows, instead of timing out at two minutes
Failed print jobs on the quote page now show structured warnings and a specific “how to fix” when a fabric-pattern clip is the problem.
Techpacks with the file the factory needs
Quote and techpack graphic cards still show the on-canvas preview. Download original now serves the uploaded AI, EPS, or PDF when that file exists — not only the converted SVG.
Uploads used on a quote are also linked back to that quote in the workspace graphics library, so the factory can find the source file later.
Customizer color and text reliability
- Solid colors and Apply to all now replace leftover gradients
- Pending text saves when you leave the field
- Outline and letter-spacing controls no longer write invalid values
What to do on a quote that already failed
Open the quote, then Regenerate print files. Pattern-clip and placeholder-logo failures should succeed on the new export. If artwork was never captured, resume the design in the customizer, save a revision, then generate print files.
