Creating a Fabric

Create and manage custom fabric materials using PBR workflow with ambient occlusion, normal maps, and glossiness textures

Fabric Customization in the Customizer

Fabric plays a crucial role in the visual and physical representation of your apparel designs. Our platform supports Physically Based Rendering (PBR) to ensure realistic fabric behavior, including light interactions, texture depth, and material reflections.

This guide will walk you through enabling fabric support, using default fabrics, and adding your own fabric materials using the PBR workflow.

Enabling or Disabling Fabric Support

Fabric customization can be toggled ON or OFF in the Customizer Tab:

  • Navigate to Global > Navigation
  • Locate the Fabric Toggle option
  • Enable or disable fabric support based on your requirements

šŸ“Œ Example: If you want to focus only on designs, colors and patterns, you may choose to disable fabric customization.

Default Starter Pack Fabrics

To help you get started quickly, we automatically provide two commonly used fabrics as part of your Starter Pack:

Plain Fabric – A smooth, general-purpose fabric ideal for standard apparel.
Mesh Structured Fabric – A breathable, perforated fabric used in sportswear and performance wear.

These two fabric types cover 80% of typical use cases, allowing you to design and prototype effectively from day one.
