Custom Colors

Manage your color palette with advanced customization options and organization-specific settings.

The Colors Panel in your Konfiwear dashboard lets you create, organize, and manage colors for use across your apparel products. This includes support for custom brand colors, product-part targeting, gradients, and category filtering.

Overview

The Custom Colors module enables:

  • Default & Custom color support
  • Color assignments per product area (e.g. collar, hem)
  • Category-based sorting and filtering
  • Gradient color combinations

This section is ideal for managing brand-specific palettes and enabling rich color control in the customizer.


Color Types

Each color can be defined with:

  • Label – Display name (e.g. Sky Blue)
  • Hex value – Standard color code (e.g. #b77171)
  • Type – Default or Custom
  • Assigned Areas – Body, Side Panel, Collar, etc.
  • Categories – Optional for grouping/filtering

You can manage color types using the "Default" and "Custom" tabs.


Color Preferences

In the Settings Sidebar, you can:

  • Toggle Default Colors and Custom Colors
  • Enable or disable Gradients
  • Allow Search Bar for color filtering
  • Choose how color lists appear inside the customizer (Default / Custom / Both)

How to Add a Custom Color

  1. Go to Customizer Settings → Colors
  2. Click on the Custom tab
  3. Use the color picker or hex input
  4. Name your color and click Save
  5. (Optional) Assign areas or categories

Use the "Apply to All" button in the customizer for mass color application across parts.


Managing Colors

In the Manage Your Colors section:

  • View a preview and label
  • Assign areas (Primary, Collar, Side Panel, etc.)
  • Add categories to organize your palette
  • Edit or delete colors at any time
  • Use the search bar for quick access

Gradient Support

When enabled, you can define gradient combinations by pairing colors.

Toggle gradient mode in the Color Preferences sidebar.


Best Practices

Keep your default palette limited to core brand colors
Assign color areas clearly (avoid leaving them empty)
Maintain a naming convention (e.g. "Team Red", "Logo White")
