Revisions
How Konfiwear keeps every version of a quote, what 'active' and 'superseded' mean, and when a new revision is created.
Where to find it
Quote detail → Revisions tab. The Rev column in the quotes list shows the current revision number.
How it works
A quote (the customer request, with its number and status) has one or more revisions — immutable snapshots of product, design, colors, graphics, sizing and price.
| Revision state | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | The one everything points to: PDF, print files, emails. Exactly one per quote |
| Superseded | Replaced by a newer revision; kept for the record |
| Draft | Being prepared, not yet the active one |
| Expired / Cancelled | No longer valid |
A new revision is created when:
- you save sizing changes on the detail page (price recalculated);
- the customer reopens the quote in the storefront (via Open in customizer or the link in their email) and submits again — the previous revision is superseded, the quote number stays the same.
Status (Received, Quoted…) belongs to the quote, never to a revision: moving a quote through the pipeline does not create revisions.
What to check before production
- The Print files card generates for the active revision. If the active revision changed after generation, a revision mismatch banner appears — regenerate.
- The Quote PDF always renders the active revision; previously sent PDFs are not updated.
Common questions
Can I go back to an older revision? Not with one click yet. Open the old revision's details and re-enter the sizing, or ask the customer to resubmit. Nothing is lost — all revisions stay visible.
Why does the customer see a different price than my PDF? They are looking at an older email. Send the PDF for the active revision again.
