Generate print-ready files
Run or regenerate print-file generation for a quote, read the job status, understand what is in the ZIP and what the generation costs.

What it does
Generation takes the customer's final canvas (design, colors, graphics, names and numbers) and the product's per-size sewing patterns, and composes one editable SVG per ordered size — per player for roster orders. A manifest.json describes every file; a ZIP bundles SVGs, manifest and the font files used.
Before anything runs, a preflight checks that the quote has a print-ready canvas, that each ordered size has a pattern, and that roster text can be substituted. A failed preflight creates no job and costs nothing.
Steps
- Open the quote. If Auto-generate print files is on (Settings → Print), a job already ran at submission — check its status.
- Otherwise click Generate. The card shows the credit cost first; confirm.
- Watch the status: Pending → Processing → Ready (usually well under a minute per size). The card updates live.
- Download all for the ZIP, or View manifest to download individual sizes or panels.
- After any change to the quote (new revision), click Regenerate. The previous set is kept as Superseded; nothing is deleted.
All or nothing
If one size fails, the whole job fails and nothing is published — you never get a half set. Credits are only charged when the complete set is published. Fix the cause (see the error help on the card) and run again.
What is in the files
- Artwork layer — the design and graphics exactly as the customer saw them, in RGB. Color management to CMYK happens in the Ready-Print PDF produced by KonfiNest.
- Cut contour — the pattern outline as a spot-color stroke (name from Settings → Print, default
CutContour). - Part-number label — small text inside the seam allowance, if enabled.
- Text stays as live text referencing fonts; the ZIP ships the fonts. Install them before opening in Illustrator, or outline text on your side.

Common questions
"Canvas SVG not found". The quote has no storefront canvas — manual quote or legacy session. Reopen in the customizer, submit, regenerate.
One size is missing from the ZIP. That size has no pattern SVG on the product (Products → Sizes tab). Upload it and regenerate — until then the job fails on that size.
The job says Ready but the queue says Not ready. The job belongs to an older revision. Regenerate for the active one (a revision mismatch banner says so).
How many credits? Per job, shown before you confirm (see Credits). A failed job is not charged.
