Creating Color Palettes in Konfiwear

Color palettes let you group a set of colors together so customers can quickly apply them to a design in the customizer.

Instead of selecting colors one by one, users can click a palette and apply a predefined color combination.

This is useful for team colors, brand colors, seasonal collections, or ready-made design styles.

What Is a Color Palette?

A color palette is a saved group of colors.

When a palette is selected in the customizer, Konfiwear applies the available colors to the editable color zones of the selected design.

For example, a palette can include:

  • Red

  • Yellow

  • Black

  • White

  • Blue

When the customer clicks that palette, those colors are applied automatically to the design zones that support color changes.

1. Open the Palettes Section

Go to the Color Palettes section in your admin area.

This is where you can create and manage palettes for your account.

2. Click Add Palette

Click Add Palette to create a new palette.

A form will open where you can enter the palette details.

3. Enter the Palette Information

Add a clear name for the palette.

Example:

Test Red 1

You can also add a description if needed.

The description is optional, but it can help explain what the palette is used for.

For example:

Red and yellow color set for team designs.

4. Create the Palette

After entering the name and description, click Create.

The palette will be created and added to your list.

You can then open it to manage its colors or update its information.

5. Add Colors to the Palette

Inside the palette detail page, open the color management section.

Select the colors you want to include in the palette.

For example, you can select:

  • Red

  • Yellow

  • Black

  • White

  • Blue

Once selected, the colors will be added to the palette.

You can add as many colors as needed, depending on the color set you want to offer.

6. Edit the Palette if Needed

After creating the palette, you can still update it.

You can:

  • Change the palette name

  • Update the description

  • Add more colors

  • Remove colors from the palette

This makes it easy to adjust palettes over time.

7. Test the Palette in the Customizer

To test the palette, open a product in the customizer.

Go to the Colors section.

You should see the palette you created.

Click the palette to apply it to the current design.

The colors from the palette will be applied to the available color zones of the design.

8. Test With Different Designs

You can also change the design and test the same palette again.

The palette will apply to the color zones available in the selected design.

If a design has fewer editable zones than the palette has colors, only the available zones will be affected.

If a design has existing colors that are not replaced by the palette, they may remain unchanged.

Best Practices

When creating color palettes:

  • Use clear palette names

  • Group colors that work well together

  • Create palettes for team colors, brand colors, or product collections

  • Test the palette on different designs

  • Keep palettes simple and easy to recognize

  • Update palettes when your available colors change

Summary

Color palettes make it faster for customers to apply predefined color combinations to a design.

Create a palette, add the colors you want, then test it in the customizer.

Once available, customers can select the palette and quickly apply a full color set to their product design.
